The July 23, 2016 Angel Island Half Marathon is a scenic 2 loop trail run course with views of the Golden Gate Bridge, San Francisco and Alcatraz Island. A little spendy for a no frills race with no medal, but participants do receive a t-shirt. The half marathon is also not for walkers or hikers. The course time limit is 3 hours, requiring runners to maintain a pace of 13:45 or less per mile.
